It's Sew time for a Logo

My baby steps toward the fantastic and absolutely horrible world of a computer program called Illustrator has turned into quite the journey. I have loved what I have learned but I must let you know that there were numerous times that I wanted to throw the computer across the room. I have spent hours and then managed to lose the files - I have deleted complicated (well for a beginner like me) drawings and I have cursed who ever came up with that pen tool a few times. I just want to sew but I promised myself that this time around I was not going to walk away from this program.

Yes, this is my third time around the Illustrator track. I took some classes through the local school a couple of years ago and when I promptly forgot everything I learned, I purchased some on-line tutorials and spent quite awhile listening and practicing and then once again forgot everything I learned. Not this time - this time was going to be different.
It has been about six weeks since I started and I have not got much sewing done as I am sitting here at the computer practising and working my ways through the tutorials. I am happy to say that I am fairly proficient at about 10% of the program. Yikes!

Anyway here is a logo design I have been playing with and I am happy to say I sent off a set of designs earlier in the week and I included a set of Illustrator drawn diagrams. YEAH for Me!!!!

Not sure if this is the logo I will go with but it is a start. Hope you like the happy colours.

  1. Lorine, I feel your pain. I've been in illustrator for two days now. First time around I made the mistake of having to reboot my computer & accidently erased the card design for a customer..... Needless to say I'm getting lots of practice starting over from scratch. Beautiful logo! Fun colors...love the little bird sitting the spool of thread.

  2. ...and It's Sew COOL!!!
Your Illustrator skills are looking pretty good! One suggestion: I'd move the blog address outside the oval so you could increase the size to make it more readable....just a thought!
