I took the red eye home last night, arriving home at 5:45 this morning. Initially it was big mistake booking the red eye but now that I am home and have managed to have a nap I am thinking it was not so bad. I must admit however that the flight was not very full therefore we had an extra seat between my good friend Eileen Hull and myself. We managed to talk our way across the country and then my wonderful husband picked us up and here I am.
The show; well it was the best one yet I believe. The contacts I made are fantastic and came mostly from appointments I had scheduled prior to going to CHA. I have already sent off a few work related emails and will work my way down the list however I thought that a quick break to write about my trip might be in order.
OK, the photo above is Elena Etcheverry, myself and Wendy Russell. The photo was taken immediately after we surprised and delighted the crowds of folks waiting for the doors to CHA to open. The event was for Charity Wings and we danced to the theme of Wendy Russell's alter ego crafting show She's Crafty seen on ION tv. The moves included dance steps entitled hanging your art, scissors, washing your paintbrush and more. Can you imagine 100 crafty folks all doing basically the same steps to some rock music at a craft show? What a way to start a day.
I am back in the studio and ready to sew, back to work.
That was a fun trip...
